What to Expect
After Surgery
First 24 hours
Rest for the remainder of the day. You may feel sleepy and could experience dizziness or nausea as a normal reaction to anesthetic. Have someone stay with you during the first 24 hours for assistance.
Recovery
Specific recovery instructions will be reviewed with you and your friend or family members before returning home and will include information on diet, rest and medication.
Restrictions
It’s important to not drive, operate machinery or power tools, cook, drink alcohol, take medications not prescribed by your physician, sign important documents or make legal decisions during initial recovery.
