Meet Our Staff: Jacksonville, FL
Ann W. Long, RN, CNOR
Administrator
Ann Long joined the JourneyLite team in April 2008 as Facility Administrator of the new Jacksonville-North Florida Facility.
She brings over 25 years of Perioperative nursing experience to the JLNF facility, six of which were spent in leadership positions at the Jacksonville Beach Surgery Center. This is where she was introduced to the laparoscopic gastric banding procedure. She was very excited to be asked join the JLNF team.
Ann belongs to the Association of Perioperative Nurses, and has served as president of her local chapter in 1997 and 2001 and is currently the treasurer. She is also a member of the Florida Council of Perioperative Nurses and the FASA/FSASC. She has been certified in Perioperative nursing for over 20 years.
With a strong family history of obesity, Ann appreciates the difficulties of her patients. She continues to give direct patient care, and is eager to be a part of their new life stories.
Trish Schachinger
Front Office Coordinator
Trish joined the JourneyLite North Florida team in August 2008. She comes with seven years of experience in specialty medical practices having worked both front and back office. Trish also has over 15 years of sales and marketing, as well as customer service skills and training. In her role as Office Coordinator you will find her to be compassionate, caring and always willing to assist JourneyLite patients and their families with their needs.

Ginger is a registered nurse with over nine years of specialty experience in the surgical and intensive care environment. This includes over five years of caring for postoperative bariatric surgery patients. Ginger, herself a LAP BAND® patient of Dr. Cywes, has assisted Drs. Cywes and Baptista in providing postoperative care to hundreds of bariatric surgical patients. Because of her dedication to providing quality nursing care, Ginger was actively recruited as a member of our team. She demonstrates personal as well as professional expertise in caring for bariatric surgical patients.
